Back office for customer service

Tell us briefly about yourself and your current position at BODE. How did you end up working for BODE?

My name is Nadine Seeger. I am 41 years old and have been with BODE since 1999. I currently work in the back office for customer service.

Because my grandmother already worked for BODE, I had the opportunity to work here during my school vacations in 1998. I felt so comfortable at BODE that I quickly realized that I wanted to do my apprenticeship here. In 1999, I began my apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and successfully completed it in 2002. I then worked for several years as a booking clerk in the Rail division and then moved to the After Sales division, where I initially helped with repairs and later moved to the Customer Service back office.

Since 2016, I have also been a member of the works council at the BODE site in Kassel. Together with a colleague, I am responsible for occupational health management.

What tasks are part of your daily work routine?

In customer service, my main daily tasks include ordering materials for customer service operations, processing reports, and managing measuring equipment. As a works council member, I am, of course, always ready to listen to my colleagues. I really appreciate being able to support the employees at BODE in various ways. I also plan the health management campaigns with my colleague. My tasks are therefore quite varied.

Is there a project at BODE that you particularly enjoyed working on? Why?

The occupational health management at BODE is particularly important to me. We have already been able to offer a number of campaigns such as bowel cancer screening and skin screening. Of course, we are continually looking into further measures to promote the health of all employees at BODE. That’s why I enjoy working on this project so much. I can do something specifically for the health of my colleagues.

How does BODE support the professional development of its employees?

The company also supports me in continuing my training as part of my activities on the works council.

What advice would you give to new employees who are just starting at BODE?

My tip for all new or future colleagues is simply to embrace everything new. Do not be resistant to new things. Instead, be open to the opportunities that are offered to you.

Finally, is there anything else you would like to share with our readers?

I really enjoy working at BODE. I am glad to have been able to do my apprenticeship here so many years ago and continue to develop within the company.
